Trump Will Play the Senate’s Game Using the Democrats’ Chips
American Thinker ^ | 3 Feb, 2021 | Geoffrey P. Hunt

The impeachment managers from the Democrat House, along with co-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, seem convinced that a Senate “trial” will dispatch Donald Trump from the American scene.

Not so fast….

The first three days of the “trial” will highlight House managers arguing that former president Trump “incited violence” at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Which was preceded for weeks when “he [Trump] reiterated false claims that ‘we won this election, and we won it by a landslide’… false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal Officials…

SNIP

Then the fireworks on the Senate floor will begin.

Because the Senate “trial” is an extra-constitutional exhibition, it has no authority or binding power. Trump as reality TV show celebrity, with neither constraints, nor fears of the outcome, will be free to present his case in any manner, form, or construct that he chooses -- having no downside consequences.

SNIP

And so, Trump is playing with “house” money. It doesn’t matter if he infuriates RINO senators who abandon their earlier position that a former president can be neither impeached by the House nor tried by the Senate. A “conviction” will be a meaningless resolution, in the form of the “sense of the Senate.” Trump can walk away with tens of millions of followers and future voters in tow, with Democrats’ veins a-bursting, and RINO hair afire.

Trump will enjoy an entertaining day — or days — on the floor of the US Senate, knowing he can vindicate those tens of millions of loyal voters who are deeply skeptical of Biden’s legitimacy

Take this to the Senate and fight like heck and call out the RINO’s and destroy their political careers.

Trump should make a majority of democRATs ashamed they are associated with the party of corruption (some are unsalvagable). Trump should make voters with GOPe congress critters ashamed they don’t have a representative with a spine.

What you say is factually untrue. Article I, Section 5 gives each house of Congress the power to expel its members via a 2/3 vote of the house. A Senator is actually easier to remove from office than the POTUS. Removing a POTUS requires both a majority vote in the House (to impeach) and a 2/3 vote in the Senate (to convict). Removing a Senator does not require a majority vote in the House, only the 2/3 vote in the Senate. Similarly, removing a Congressman requires no Senate vote, only the 2/3 House vote.

“The answer is right in front of our face. Trump was deposed and stripped of powers January 7th. Pence was acting president in all but name. They concealed that fact from us to keep the lid on. That’s why soldiers were in the streets, Trump was silenced, no pardons of consequence came out, no release of swamp secrets, etc. It’s why communications were seized and Trumps communications were cut off. The soldiers in the streets were dupes and unaware just as the German home Army was unaware they were being used in Von Staffenburgs coup.

This was operation Valkyrie. It is in mopping up phase now.”

Who ordered the NG? If it was Pence and he was acting president, that’s beyond unbelievable.

This will all come out some day.

I would say to leave linear law-based world behind, and step through the looking glass, over into practical real world. There was no secret “swearing in” for Pence.
There was a simple brutal discussion, Pence and SecDef agreed with Pelosi and Mitch that the troops would roll.
Trump was told to remain silent or Pence would support the 25th and he would be gone the next day.

Trump was also told no pardons for Snowden or Assange and to STFU except to occasionally tell people to remain calm.

It’s obvious that this is what happened. I doubt a single word was written down about it. But Trump was effectively deposed on January 7th. This also explains the rapid departure of several cabinet members about then.

We are now in an authoritarian dictatorship that took power by force.
The songs, the flag, the ceremonies will be the same...
But the American republic is dead. Hopefully we can seize a new one some day.

I wasn't including expulsion from within each legislative body. I was only talking about what voters can do and what the courts can do to send a congress-critter packing when he/she breaks the law or otherwise violates the Constitution contrary to the oath of office.

Since you mentioned Article 1, Section 5 - we must really have some honest folks there in DC because under Article 1, Section 5, even though there have been 12000+ reps and sens who served, only 3 were expelled (Civil War expulsions not included).

Half of them are about to violate the Constitution again with this sham impeachment trial. Do you think that they will kick themselves out of office?

Oh I believe in that tagline with all my heart but I sincerely doubt that it will be used in the near future.

On top of that there can be no business in senate during the trial, so Trump needs to drag it out as long as possible to stop Biden’s agenda.

You are breathtakingly uninformed. At this point most people with situational awareness are waking up and at least realizing that something is happening behind the scenes. The Democrats have very little real power at this point. Its just sound and fury. Actually its bordering on laughable.

Nobody believes Biden is a legitimate President. I’m getting bored with the whole thing. I wish Trump would just hurry it up already.

You’re delusional.
Let me guess, the troops are there to arrest the dems, and there are 12,000 sealed warrants, and ...”trust the plan”?

Just for my entertainment, what do you wish Trump would hurry up and do? I’m fascinated.

Trump needs a T shirt with the finger prominently displayed on the front.

He needs to wear it daily.

Look if you want to be the last guy to figure out what is going on knock yourself out. I’m well documented as to what I and now more and more people believe is happening. I’ve been outraging you with it for weeks.

But one more time Trump and the military are taking down the deep state and its a very difficult and involved operation. Most of it is being done behind the scenes because the public isn’t ready to see the huge scope of it. And they are trying to mitigate violence in the streets and collateral damage wHich will be unavoidable once the military actually announces that they are in control.

Ok boo. Get help. I know it’s hard to face reality, but it’s obvious there is no secret plan, and the military leadership is against us. Fully, loudly, 100% against us, not even close... against us.

Q was a bunch of lunacy and always was.

OK I am right. Take a look at that fool Austin that Biden has nominated for DOD. He has zero control over the military because Trump turned control over to the military before he left. They are conducting martial law. Since Austin and Biden don’t really know what to do about it they are calling for a 60 day military standown I guess in the hopes of getting control. Its a desperate play and its not going to happen. They are trying to act like Austin and General Milley conferred then they gave the order. Milley has no authority and the military is not following Austin.

Just watch and listen and see how these things play out.

Once he dispatches with this lunacy, Trump should announce he IS a transgendered female who identifies as a woman, who still prefers women. While he has no interest, at his age, of medically transitioning, he does want to come out and live his new life as the first transgendered and female president in the history of the US.
