A woman who is preparing to meet h a man she matched with on Tinder has provoked a lively debate about whether height really matters when dating, ater admitting she's nervous about him potentially being shorter than her.

Posting anonymously on Mumsnet, the UK-based woman explained she's 5ft 8in and has always dated taller men, and asked if she's 'incredibly shallow' to worry that a man she's planning a socially-distanced date with might be shorter.

As for the Thread Topic. I'm 6'2 and my Wife is 5 feet even.
With my substantial head of hair, I'm at least 6'3”.

Being old (67) and having been through numerous Chemotherapy Regimens over the past fifteen years and surprisingly my Hair is still there. My balding Brother can't believe it.

Unfortunately, my Posture sucks because I'm looking down at everyone so I don't trip over them. The other downside is that I'm a Car Guy. There are some Cars I just can't fit in comfortably. Of course some Airline Seats are tortuous.

If you let this run it’s course, as we appear to be doing, you end up with a bunch of lucky guys with essentially harems and a bunch of unlucky guys who have no shot at a woman and, essentially, nothing to lose. It’s a recipe for disaster and it’s likely why our ancestors instituted things like marriage and monogomy after having lived through, or at least learned from, multiple societal implosions that were the result of allowing unfettered attraction run wild.

You want to see this, go to any inner-city ghetto. The women have sex with the tough gang bangers, who you see having a dozen offspring by a dozen women. Without marriage, the men are purposeless, and waste their lives.

Monogamy created a society where the average man was likely to have a wife, to have a family to strive for, and a future to build. Such societies flourished.
