When I am required to wear a mask, I wear a double cloth thin mask with the inner lining removed using scissors. This essentially renders it into a single ply mask and it is much more comfortable. If I am caught by a mask inspector for my subterfuge will my face and story be published in the media? Will I be characterized as the terrorist who secretly removed a layer from his two ply mask, jeopardizing the lives of my fellow American travelers?

I think the purpose of the new mask requirements by CDC is to ban neck gaiters. I remember seeing an article or 2 about airlines wanting to ban them.
