My how times have changed in our households. Modern appliances and other inventions have afforded us conveniences that our predecessors didn’t have. Don’t you sometimes wonder what things were like a century or two ago?
Explore the past by looking at these vintage wares and try to figure out what they were used for. Some of these objects were more common during certain historical periods, or in particular parts of the world. Though they all share the same status of being antiques, you may find one or two of these items still in use.

If I ever figure out the way to post pictures...Today's your day!!!
I don’t know how to post a pic.
You do NOW!!
between the QUOTES, and you're good to go!
<img src="">
giving you...
If you want your cursor to display a message when on the picture, than add THIS
title="" between the img and the src text with your messge inside the quotes like this:
...or at the end....
But be sure your picture is already on the web somewhere. You CANNOT post directly from your home computer.

Yeah, there was a fat family that lived up the street from me. They had one of them, but even better, they had a horizontal bench with a center section that would vibrate, so they could snooze while they reduced.
It was a losing battle, though, they had a restaurant-style deep fat fryer installed in the kitchen so they always had freshly made French fries available.

You are close! That is a claw apple picker.
And a bed warmer. More often, I’ve seen them with a long handle to slide on the bed, under the covers.
Some contained hot water, others [vented], embers from the fireplace.
