Just paid $34 for a half sheet of 3/4" plywood.

Yup. I replaced a broken window pane after hurricane Katrina, $8.00. Replaced again after hurricane Sally (this year), $28.00. Same glass, same size.

So true. I am building some cabinets and 3/4” birch plywood is $52 for a 4’ by 8’ sheet.
