From Dionne warwick’s special on BBC's "The Other Broadway," 1975.
Dionne Warwick - "All In Love Is Fair" (live performance, 1975)

Never liked her voice. To me me she always sounded slightly out of pitch
I’m not hearing any pitch issues in this performance. Can you post a youtube where she’s pitchy?
Loved her singing...
However, when I called her in 1980 to ask whether the budding communist attempts to grab the U.S. would succeed, she assured me that the cards said otherwise...
I want my $12.95 back!
Do You know the way to San Jose

I forgot about The Psychic Friends Network from the 80's. Lol. :)
To my ear she always sounded that way.
If you want to hear a voice, go listen to Karen Carpenter.
That’s what friends are for.
Do You know the way to San Jose
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I40 to Barstow and then Highway 58 to the I5, but that’s neither here nor there...
Ah, that’s not the way to San Jose. San Jose isn’t off the 5. It’s off the 101.
I’ve liked most of her work during the Bacarach years.
I enjoy Dionne most when she sings in a normal or conversational tone. I don’t like the songs where she’s yelling like some Farmer’s Wife selling peaches at an open market.
One of many favorites is “Anyone Who Had A Heart”
from 1964. The very last chorus has a slightly different meter than the rest of the song. The interrupted beats sound almost like something French vs American.
All In Love Is Fair, is a song I haven’t heard in decades.
It was very popular in the late 70’s.
Written by Stevie Wonder.
To me, it always seemed like a song to be performed in a small nightclub by a Solo singer. Sort of like that song
My Funny Valentine. Both songs have very personal lyrics.
The 5 puts you in the ballpark. Gotta keep posts pithy after all.
But yeah, you busted me as a non-native by adding in the “I”...
Yes, Dionne, I know the way to San Jose.
From LA, get on the "great big freeway" known as the San Bernardino Freeway, or Interstate 10, proceed east all the way to I-19, then veer right. Continue south as I-19 becomes Rte. 15. At Tepic, turn right on Rte. 200, which becomes Rte. 1 at Malacatán.
Try to arrive at Malacatán at mealtime, so you can have Chinese food at the popular Jade Occidental restaurant. After your meal, continue along Rte. 1 to San Cristóbal Totonicapán and turn right on CA 1. Stay on CA 1 all the way to San Jose.
If you're going to San Jose, Calif. from Barstow, you take Rte. 58 to I-5 at Buttonwillow, then hang a right and proceed 150 miles to Gustine and turn left on Pacheco Pass Rd. (Rte. 152). Proceed west over Pacheco Pass, and pick up Rte. 101 at Gilroy, and continue north.
Thankfully I won’t be traveling from Barstow to San Jose, but thanks.
Dionne was eclipsed vocally but not in style by her niece Whitney Houston. Sad life crash for Whitney when she fell into drugs.
