I think I found the location: 1776 18th St near G St.
Don’t know the significance of that particular location, but I am pretty sure I nailed the block.
It’s 1776 G Street. I worked at the bldg next door at 18th and G. At 16th and G is the west side of the White House grounds and the Old Executive Office Bldg. if my memory serves. I left the DC area in 1981, I go back to visit family but don’t go downtown much anymore.
