Not every strategy will be understood in the process of its implementation. It could seem backwards or counterintuitive, until you see other data, or the longer goal. Pompeo... ha. He sure did make China love us didn't he? How is that One China policy going? Mnuchin... I cant vouch for him.

Then there is this: "Pompeo said the following:

"…I am announcing that I am lifting all (US) self-imposed restrictions" on Washington's one China policy."

"Henceforth, US regimes "should consider all 'contact guidelines' regarding relations with Taiwan previously issued by the Department of State under authorities delegated to the Secretary of State to be null and void.""

""Additionally, any and all sections of the Foreign Affairs Manual or Foreign Affairs Handbook that convey authorities or otherwise purport to regulate executive branch engagement with Taiwan via any entity other than the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) are also hereby voided."

"Today's" unilateral breach of what stood the test of time since 1979 is replaced by virtual recognition of Taiwan as a sovereign state."

Pompeo: "(T)he US-Taiwan relationship need not, and should not, be shackled by self-imposed restrictions of our permanent bureaucracy."

"China hasn't officially commented on this development so far."

Has Biden reversed this yet? What would happen if he tried to?

Don’t for a minute trust Pompeo’s flurry of actions and claims on his way out the door.

Or Steve Goldman Sachs Mnuchin.

There is no question as to Biden’s China puppet status either. Taiwan is a proxy for China’s action against the US. Giving a bit more of an excuse for action might be just what they want.

Myanmar ruling party says military has staged ‘coup’ as Aung San Suu Kyi detained

Coup in Burma: Biden Administration Warns it Will ‘Take Action Against Those Responsible’

"After weeks of simmering tension, military television confirmed on Monday morning local time that the armed forces, known as the Tatmadaw, had declared a state of emergency for one year, and that the commander-in-chief, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, was taking over."

"The seizure of power came as a new session of parliament was due to open following elections last November which Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy (NLD) easily won."

"The military, which has been claiming mass fraud in the election, took key NLD leaders into custody in the early hours. According to The Irrawaddy, a Thailand-based news outlet run by Burmese exiles, those detained included Suu Kyi – Burma’s de facto leader, but constitutionally barred from serving as president – her ally, President U Win Myint, and several lawmakers and members of the party’s central executive committee."
