... A twice convicted scam artist made a deposit and then never paid them another dime before starting to build a house on their property several years later. It is an almost indescribable nightmare for them. They pay more than what the deposit was every year in property taxes. They have not been able to sell the property to anyone else because of the pending litigation and now are in severe financial hardship..

How much have they been relieved of by their own counsel to boot? And has he/she done much of anything to earn it trying to get this predicament resolved or just piddled around as the months fly by?

The attorneys on both sides are milking this for all that it is worth. My parents have already spent twice what the scam artist gave them for a deposit on attorney fees. This has been going on for years now. The scam artist is hoping my parents will die from old age or Covid.
