No matter what direction the A-10 still pulls a tighter circle at anything close excluding a harrier B and the A-4.

The Mig-21, F-5 and A-4 were about the same with the teen fighters, if you did not pull lead in half a circle in a F-16 you better change the type of fight. The A-10 would not fair well with the A-4. The all aspect sidewinder on the rail keeps most interceptors away from flights of A-10 with/without 4 ship F-15 protector.

Combined packages of the USAF keeps most flights safe.

Look up the High YoYo.
Mig 17s and 19s could turn way tighter then Phantoms or Navy F 8s.
Using their higher power and climb rate the US pilots would go vertical and be turn inside the enemy. Three a lot more to dog fighting then turning radius.

The A 10 is the greatest at what it was designed for, ground attack .

Disagree.

A-10 v A-4; been there, done that, never lost.

A-10’s have sidewinders, too. It has an edge because its engines are “cooler” than the A-4 so that makes the A-4 a target further than the A-4 can engage A-10s with their sidewinders.

Turning fights, easy. Think three dimensionally, speed, turn radius, and range of the gun.
