Bunny Hill....Bear Hill...Wolf Run...
They are often predatory attacks.
Bears that tend to hang around campsites very often become dangerous.
The common phase in bear management, is a fed bear is a dead bear.
Came here looking for moose bites sister comments and was disappointed not to find any.
“Zaharia said the bear fled into the woods when police arrived in all-terrain vehicles, but authorities are considering having the bear relocated to avoid future confrontations on the slopes”.
? Is this the only bear in that woods? They are so certain they will know this bear, precisely?
Interesting that there are bears in the Carpathians still
It says there are 8,000 brown bears in the Carpathians, the second largest population in Europe.
Well this is up in Ruthenia, a very ancient area so I guess I should not be surprised.
I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard the skiers are yummy there.
This was “SkiFree” a simple skiing game included on Windows PC’s in the early 90s along side Solitaire and Minesweeper. I played it a lot as a kid on our Packard Bell. If you keep going, eventually you get chased down and eaten by a stick-figure abominable snow man.
Thanks, I just read about the development of SkiFree on Wikipedia. Pretty cool history. The developer did mention he was inspired by the Activision Skiing game for Atari 2600 which is what my first thought was. I gave credit to the wrong designer. It wasn’t David Crane, but it is Bob Whitehead for the original Skiing game from 1980.
