Thank you for the good wishes. My personal main concern is for our retaining wall project that we started a little over a week ago. If the rain came after the demo but before the new wall (Allen Blocks) had progressed a ways it would have been bad news. But there should be good drainage in place and the beginnings of wall is started and the bare dirt is well covered with plastic, so it should be OK.

I am more worried about the folks who live on low ground along the Pajaro River that flows between Santa Cruz & Monterey counties. They got badly flooded the last time we had prolonged heavy rain. The Corps of Engineers has supposedly made corrective improvements but we won't know how well they work until the test comes. That should be this week.
