Also Kalam, when I lost furnace heat I used my electric dryer, with panty hose over the exhaust hose to cut down on dust. Very slow way to heat but also very efficient.

Been meaning to get back to you on this suggestion. It’s a good additional idea. I have a milk room heater that helps out a bit in individual rooms, a wall mount bathroom heater that helps out there some and use the kitchen oven to keep a little heat there.
The dryer will also help out if I run into a loss of heat; furnace issues again. Thanks.
Sorry to hear about your heating situation. Hope it gets resolved soon. We went down to 5 last night, tonight is to drop lower. brrrr.
I always keep a sack of potatoes for no heat situations. Boiling potatoes seems to warm up a room quickly.
There's also a portable sauna which can be folded away. Great to use just to warm up a bit and get a more positive attitude when waiting for a furnace to be fixed.
I do know from my engineer friends and experience the dryer is more effective and less cost than the stove - assume both are electric though.
