I mean, how many times do you get a flu where the symptoms maintain the same level of severity for two weeks

Funny, that you say that because I was sick last November (before Covid was on anyone's radar) and it lasted 2-3 weeks-just like that.

I kept saying to my family and friends, "Something is not right with this illness. I am never sick for this long"

I never got massively sick, no cough but sick enough for a solid 2-3 weeks. I kept half joking I thought it was a bio-weapon.

I don't know what it was. I doubt Covid but it was strange as can be.

That said, I got H1N1 a few years back, solidly kicked my a$$for a complete 3 weeks, took 6 weeks to finally feel better.

The weird thing with the covid and us is that for about two weeks the symptoms don’t seem to “peak”, and then begin to subside with the occasional brief relapse. That would be a normal pattern with a cold or flu.

It’s like a holding pattern for 2 weeks or so - day after day after day. For about a ten day stretch we were sleeping about 18 - 20 hours PER DAY. Husband did it as well even though he only had a fever for a couple of days. I had one for a couple of days, it went away, then came back worse for 6 whole days. I rarely ever have a fever.

As it is now, 3 weeks out, hubby is still sleeping a lot. I am awake about 14 hours a day now, but have no energy. At all. So, I pay attention and do not push myself. I do not want to trigger anything, lol.

Dr.s here are saying that lately the covid patients are coming in with very low oxygen after having covid and doing OK with it for 10-14 days, then suddenly it turns bad. I wonder if that is due in part to people trying to get up and moving, thinking it’s safe enough to do like with a cold, or most flu.

We got a ox sensor. At the lowest, mine was registering about 80% for 2 days. I figured I was OK as long as it didn’t drop below that, and I stayed flat. It’s up to about 96% now. That’s close to normal for me.
