The weird thing with the covid and us is that for about two weeks the symptoms don’t seem to “peak”, and then begin to subside with the occasional brief relapse. That would be a normal pattern with a cold or flu.

It’s like a holding pattern for 2 weeks or so - day after day after day. For about a ten day stretch we were sleeping about 18 - 20 hours PER DAY. Husband did it as well even though he only had a fever for a couple of days. I had one for a couple of days, it went away, then came back worse for 6 whole days. I rarely ever have a fever.

As it is now, 3 weeks out, hubby is still sleeping a lot. I am awake about 14 hours a day now, but have no energy. At all. So, I pay attention and do not push myself. I do not want to trigger anything, lol.

Dr.s here are saying that lately the covid patients are coming in with very low oxygen after having covid and doing OK with it for 10-14 days, then suddenly it turns bad. I wonder if that is due in part to people trying to get up and moving, thinking it’s safe enough to do like with a cold, or most flu.

We got a ox sensor. At the lowest, mine was registering about 80% for 2 days. I figured I was OK as long as it didn’t drop below that, and I stayed flat. It’s up to about 96% now. That’s close to normal for me.

My sister (NY) is getting over it. She explained it the exact same way.

She actually texted me a week into it and said, "I guess I can tell you now because we are all getting better"

Then I didn't talk to her for a few days and my nephew message me and told me she was having a really rough go of it, had to go to the hospital (not admitted), etc. Seems like she started to feel like she was getting better and then took a massive turn for the worse.

To be fair H1N1 was exactly the same. You would go through periods where you felt like you were getting better and then, bam, another bad and different stage would hit. But mostly, it was the headache that killed me. I get migraines, frequently, and routinely walk around with severe headaches. The headache that came with H1N1 was crippling and days long. Reduced me to tears at one point.
