I live in Ohio also. I’ve been with State Farm since my first car. At one point had 3 teenagers on my policy. Our agent is/was great at matching up certain cars with each kid for the lowest premium.
I think you do need an agent willing to work for you and not try and sell the highest premium.
We used to use State Farm but their billing practices are terrible. They couldn’t give us a single bill for all our vehicles together. We would get constant bills. If we paid every six months, with six cars, it got crazy with constant bills.
I own a number of rental properties with their own sets of bills. Twelve State Farm bills on top of that was a game stopper.
That is who we have and worked with them prior to buying vehicles too. However, my son waited til he was older to get his license. So, we did not hit the 16 year old driver jump. Also, our rates just went down unexpectedly this past month!
