WTH is SNY?
When I took HS — HS!! — journalism, back in 197x the first thing they taught was assume your audience has no idea what you are talking about. Even before the 5 Ws.
I guess that was the pinnacle of journalism: The Basics.
I have no idea. People use so many short cuts and abbreviations any more that nothing means anything.
