In fact, the communist-revolutionary, domestic terrorist, Weather Underground openly bragged about bombing the US Capitol AND the Pentagon!

In 1954, a group of Puerto Rican [Marxist] separatists got onto the House floor and opened fire with handguns. Five members of the House were wounded in the attack, including Rep. Alvin Bentley (Mich.). He's in the photo below, being carried out by pages.
#10. Re Chris Wallace not seeing any anti-war protestors” “get near the US capitol”. Well Chrissy missed something that was on the front pages of the Wash. Post and possibly the old Wash. Evening Star/Times when members of the Maoist faction of Vietnam Veterans Against the War in Vietnam (VVAW-Maoist) made up of newer Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) who was in the process of taking over the VVAW or from their rival old maoist Progressive Labor Party , stoned DC motorcycle police on the street right next to the Capitol’s West Side.
They also hit Police Chief Jerry Wilson in the head with pre-planted rocks and cinder blocks which they shattered into fist-size projectiles.
I WAS THERE. Got grazed by a grapefruit sized rock and went after the three psychos who threw it. They were the ones who hit Chief Wilson (who ignored my warning that he was walking into an ambush. Arrogant bastard he was). A photo of blood running down his face was in the Wash. Post of that day, probably May 2, 1971 edition.
I still have some photos from that incident and they show the West lawn/traffic circle where this happened, right off of Constitution Avenue NW.
For old timers, there was a white kiosk of some type in that traffic circle. The rock that hit me came off of a bad throw that hit that building and ricohetted off.
Chris Wallace - a legend in his own mind but in reality, just a lightweight pencil pusher. Guess I didn’t see him in Nam because he was too young. Oh well, at least his father had some journalistic integrity and talent.
