Any deal he cut was to slink off, not cause problems..and maybe they wouldnt subject him to a trial for impeachment.

Seriously though, you need to think outside the box.
Trump knows the presidency is gone. That's why he packed up and left town. But the war for this country is just getting started in earnest.
I don't want to get too specific, but Trump's has the goods (intel-wise) on the Democrats and the Deep State. Not everything, but enough...perhaps most of what matters.
He knew they would try and possibly succeed in stealing the election and he and his attorneys did all they to stop it. But the steal was in.
So now here is Trump (supported by 75+ million voters) with the gory details of all kinds of stuff.
That's his hand of cards.
