(See picture below.)
Trump moving from Mar A Largo? To where? Is this what he gets for being a President who went to bat of us every day while in office. What kind of a country do we live in????
`Wyoming. Challenge Cheney for the house. Become Speaker in 2023. Bingo.
Moving things in?
They started moving stuff from Washington last week I wouldnt be surprised if that wasn’t a truck unloading stuff he has from Washington that of course where his possessions
He should go to Brazil and become Bolsonaro’s Finance Minister. :)
Probably white house server ware and flatware with POTUS logos.
IIRC, by contract it’s a “private club” and not intended to be a residence
Wyoming can run a Covid-encrusted flip-flop against Cheney and defeat her. Trump should move to Oklahoma and primary/defeat James Lankford in 2022.
This is probably due to those neighbors who filed a compliant with the city, reminding them that the original agreement for Trump to open the club was that he could not live there more than a few weeks per year.
Poor op sec. The SS will not be blocking that open water as when he was POTUS. Any yahoo with a launcher from a boat could do a fast drive by hit.
He made an agreement that he wouldn’t stay there more than 3 weeks per year. The city is holding him to the contract.
Since he isn’t going back to NY...
He’ll be OK wherever he goes - he has good secret service agents, I believe.
I’m trying to picture Trump in Chugwater or Tensleep
President signed 1993 agreement with town that says he cannot live at the club for more than three nonconsecutive weeks in a year
Neighbors of Donald Trump’s infamous Mar-a-Lago golf club in Palm Beach, Florida are warning the president that he cannot live at the club after he leaves the White House, following an agreement he made with the town in 1993.
In a letter to the town of Palm Beach and the US Secret Service sent this week, a lawyer representing a family that lives next to Mar-a-Lago reiterated that “Mar-a-Lago is a social club, and no one may reside on the property.”
“To avoid an embarrassing situation for everyone and to give the president time to make other living arrangements in the area, we trust you will work with his team to remind them of the use agreement parameters,” wrote Reginald Stambaugh, the lawyer.
Multiple reports indicate that Trump has already made arrangements to move to the Sunshine State: Trump’s apartment at the club is being renovated and Melania Trump is looking at Florida schools for 14-year-old Barron Trump. And while Trump was largely associated with New York City before his move to Washington, Trump shifted his domicile from New York to Florida in 2019 and voted for himself as a Florida resident this year.
The members-only club was once the residential estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post, an American socialite, up until 1985 when Trump purchased the estate with the goal of turning it into a money-making venture. Trump signed an agreement in 1993 with the local government of Palm Beach that would allow him to turn the private residence into a business so long as he followed a set of rules, including a limitation on how many days of the year Trump can live at Mar-a-Lago.
That’s good, but Mexico would be better. Wouldn’t that sweat the new administration!
When Mara Lago turned into a private club there was a codicil in the investor paperwork that no one could claim it as a residence.
In essence, its a resort. No one else can live there. He would have to change the rules.
On the bright side, could be his tweet history archives getting loaded up, on their way to the Smithsonian. :)
I bet he could afford a really nice place in West Palm Beach.
Not that HE could not live there. No one is supposed to “live” there.
Read somewhere a couple months ago that the Trumps recently had Mar-a-Lago renovated.
He has already been accused of that. Of course, the Obama junta gang and Clinton’s folks probably looted the White House when they left so they probably think it is standard operating procedure.
