Our CDC may keep this restriction on into the summer and further delay cruising.

Since the cruise ships on an April etc. start up will probably be at 60% passengers this won't have that big an impact IMHO,as a lot of Americans can fill the ships.

When the summer comes, which is the busiest cruise season, if this restriction is left in place, the CDC will further cripple the foreign flagged Cruise industry's comeback toward solvency.

"What is more likely is that cruises leaving from the US would be out of the question for anyone not in the United States. Not only would four different tests be a strain on the passengers, but it would also be a strain on the entire infrastructure."

I wonder what the new Biden administration thinks of this? -Tom

Screw thus stupid bug. It’s a scam

The Covid bullshit business now is on the order of $1 trillion a year and climbing

They created it out of nothing it’s a simple flu bug

In my opinion conservatives should completely remain out of the system and starve the beast

The new Biden administration reflects the outlook of the ‘Karens’ who believe 100% safety is the only acceptable objective.

as a lot of Americans can fill the ships.

Bidet spoke of the "dark winter" which will undoubtedly turn into a "dark spring", "dark summer" and "dark fall".

The cruise industry is gonna have to pay mega bribes to politicians if they plan to stay in business.

Not just cruise ships. Go to any travel destination outside the US. My better half is in the Bahamas right now doing security work for a major hotel and the requirement is to have a covid test within 5 days of arriving and 5 days after you arrive you get another covid test.

In the Bahamas, there is no one on the beach, no one at any of the outdoor bars, very few shops are open, the bath water is rusty and smells.

Who wants to go on vacation when you are reminded to put on your mask as you go to and from the beach?

Also the ships are not at full passenger capacity right now due to ‘social distancing’...Carnival is 50-60% so a 2,000 passenger ship only needs about 1,200 to be fill...

“Our CDC may keep this restriction on into the summer and further delay cruising.”

How do they get the authority?

All passengers will also be required to present the negative result of the test, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight.

It doesn't seem to spell out what documentation of recovery would consist of.

Scheduled for Boston to Bermuda end of May. If mask required the whole time, rescheduling to next year. Also curious to see what Bermuda will require to get on the island if they’ll even allow it

Cruiselines have long counted on air travel to bring their passenger to them.
= = =

Meanwhile, a cruise visits a bunch of different countries, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, ....

So the passengers are now subjected to Covid testing and quarantine and vaccine, etc. from each border/interaction with those countries?

This will never work. I was tested in December & it took TEN DAYS for them to notify me that I had Covid.
