Definitely a foreshadowing of what it will be like for those who acknowledge their faith in Jesus during the Tribulation.This was common took place during the Inquisition. Christians are being tortured and killed in Muslim countries every day. On average, 13 Christians are killed every day. Don't have to wait for the Tribulation Period.
