Since at least ‘86 back when I was a first mate on several tour boats in DC. the coast guard was a certain presence in the potomac. There was always a couple hundred people if not more. I am sure they are on alert now.

They always had gun boats, what is the point if you don’t have them? Nice guys. But they have been there long time.

Now if the story said thousands...

LOL. I would assume the coast guard would always have a certain presence. I don’t recall ever reading that those rivers were closed for a week leading up to the inauguration and until 5 days later.
