The fire is for ambiance, if not a a little heat. She keeps turning the heat down to 68 so Alabama Power doesn’t round upward our bill averaging plan and my hands are getting arthritic, and they tend to cramp up. Last week my 80-year-old mother threatened to wrap me in bubble wrap when we got there. I didn’t even go downstairs to get in the hot tub because I was afraid I’d struggle back up the stairs and would have to walk up the driveway to get to the living room again.
