Trump had almost no choice in his advisors and appointees. McConnell refused to go into recess for the entire presidency to keep his own party’s president from making recess appointments.
He was told by the Republicans Ryan, Graham, Gowdy, etc that any firing of Sessions, Wray, Rosenstein, etc would mean instant impeachment. In fact, as soon as he fired the traitor Bolton, they launched an impeachment and let it drag on for almost 3 months, 5 if you count the hearings.

Next, he ran on bringing in “killers” from the private sector to run things like a business. But the pussyhat rioters and others attacked his people in restaurants, on the street, online and in their homes. Several members of his business council group of advisors had to drop out under attack from the radicals. They made it utterly career ending to work for him. That left him with close family, and lightweights like Hope Hicks, etc.

Because of the actions of the Bush family, the GOPe, and Democrats, and high ranking military generals that were neocon traitors, at best he only ever had about 40% of the power of the presidency.

He had very little freedom to appoint or fire the people he wanted, and his White House was infested with CIA spies and military traitors to America like Vindman.

It’s a miracle that having about 40% of the power of 1/3rd if government, he accomplished what he did.

May I remind you, he was impeached twice anyway.

Yours will become a minority position - even here.

Yes, but the latter had nothing to do with anything he did.

It only failed according to these three reasons: CNN, MSNBC, New York Times.

Trump's single biggest accomplishment in office can be described in two parts:

1. He exposed our nation's professional political class as a bunch of feckless frauds.

2. He so dramatically raised our expectations of a president that most Americans have stopped giving a sh!t about their own government unless it is run by people like him.

Here is my take why the Trump re-election was crippled:
1) The Bush Crime Family faction of the GOP which controls GOP leadership.
2) Sabotage by the Federal bureaucracy.
3) Sabotage by the gigantic multinational corporations and their subsidiary news and media businesses that control 95% of what Americans see and hear.

The “old money” wanted their “cheese” back.

This is going to be a long fight.

“If we/re being honest, it’s a freaking miracle that he won in the first place. TPTB weren’t taking any chances this time around. “

Estab Repubs wanted him to lose in 2016, and thought he would.

Trump was defeated this time because his own party including a repub dominated judiciary, pretended not to notice massive election fraud and misconduct - including changes in ballot verification that they deliberately let go.

Notice how they are tightening up now.

All of that is true about Fauci and Birx. But I disagree with “by then it was too late”. That is the fallacy of a gambler doubling down on losses at the table.
There is a time to cut your losses and move forward.

Had he fired that turd Fauci in April or May, and flooded the HCQ out, he could have moved forward with someone better.

Well said. He did exactly that, and did it while being constantly assaulted, abused, harangued, ridiculed, attacked, investigated, censored by Twitter, banned, etc. He exceeded any expectation I ever had, and more.

“Reason #3 is a joke. The President of the United States had no authority to use the military to deal with riots when the mayors and governors of the riot zones were adamantly opposed to Federal help.”

Yeah, actually he does. It’s well established since the time of George Washington.

this thread isn’t going to age well. I would have thought you’d wait to actually figure out what’s happening in DC right now. Oh well, I guess trashing the president was too appealing to you.

You're going to have to cite some evidence and examples to support that.

The Insurrection Act of 1807 is very clear about the conditions that warrant Federal military involvement in local matters.
