Hey Moronic Cohen, check out the Constitution. We don’t have election of the President by the voters in this country. It’s the state legislators who elect the President. What needs to be abolished is the “archaic” popular vote, the one that looks like Venezuela and allows anyone with a drivers license to become an ipso facto registered voter who self-certifies as a U.S. citizen.

Actually it's a complete waste of time, and I hope they keep on wasting time for the next two years. There is no way three quarters of the states would ever to ratify something like this. There is no way they'll even get the required two thirds of both houses. If they really want to jigger the electoral system they'll probably have better luck in adding stars to the flag since that only takes a simple majority in both houses plus a presidential signature. Even that is doubtful though. I don't think any of our territories want to be states.
