Amazon submitted a new filing in federal court on Tuesday in response to an emergency motion by Parler to restore its hosting services through Amazon’s AWS. Parler was kicked offline early Monday after Amazon said the social media company had violated its terms of service and Parler couldn’t find another company willing to do business. Parler sued Amazon on Monday alleging breach of contract and an antitrust violation.

I dont think they should have to censor every comment etc. but they do draw a line somewhere as I’ve heard of people having posts removed...
You’ve not been on twitter much have you?
Talking of thedonald.win my latest Snowden post is doing well... 1500+ votes in a few hours

Yes! But I don’t get political there...
somewhere on FR there is an article from a hollywood actor or director who, watching the events at the Capitol a week ago, tweeted “f*cking just shoot all of them” after it was revealed Ashli Babbit was shot...
The examples of tweets encouraging and advocating violence against conservatives and Trump supporters, tweets in which the user is not suspended and the tweets are not deleted, go on and on and on...
I don’t know who Twitter users to host their servers but if its Amazon it would seem to me Parler has a major discrimination suit.
So why haven’t they deplatformed Twitter?
Do they host with Amazon?
Double standard BS. Like they actually believe ONLY Parler has been found guilty of such violations. Completely laughable and a straw-man(selective) reprisal that justifies Amazon’s actions.
I mean, if I were Parler’s attorney I would love the hell out of this approach and argue that this line of attack by Amazon is dubious at best and submit:
1) Evidence that they continue to host Twitter.
2) Tweets that remain on Twitter that threaten violence and other forms of disruption and hate.
Come on now Amazon, your attorney’s are either idiots or know that the game is rigged and can afford to be. Which one is it?
AFAICS, they do.
Well in that case they will point out the hypocrisy and win.
“How many of those alleged posts were put up by Antifa? Asking for a friend.”
I have a few conservative friends who are posting stuff that is going to the extreme and I’m really starting to worry about them.
The far left and far right have radicals
Depends on the judge, does it not.
Just what do you mean by “far right”?
I reported a blatant death threat to the President which was posted on Facebook and Facebook did NOTHING.
I guess...
It’s appalling they kicked them off at the weekend with no way of getting a new host ASAP.
Any judge who is fair would at least give them an interim order to restore the service
So Amazon paid folks to set up Parler and make damaging posts?
They should read the countless death threats for the last four years against Donald Trump and his family, even Barron, so yeah spare me the phony outrage amazon
Twitter doesn’t host anything on Amazon, so it wouldn’t be relevant. They host some things on their own datacenters, and some things on Google Cloud.
“ The Mods would never let that sort of thing on here which is why I think FR should be ok.“
What kind of nonsense is this? Parler is being targeted for its politics. FR is tougher for them to get at due to the way it’s hosted (and it’s smaller active user base means it’s further down the list), but the real reason they want to eliminate Parler applies to FR as well.
And I’m sure out of the millions of posts on here they could find some that sound violent if they ever had to justify it. No moderation system is perfect and there will always be posts that slip through.
