The 19th is the first day back in session which is the earliest the Senate can receive the Article. Then, by Senate rule, a trial cannot start until 1:00 p.m. the NEXT day. In this case, 1 hour after Trump becomes ex-president.

At this point I don’t think the Senate vote will happen. Just saying, if it did, they would remove Pres. Trump from office. We have a week to go.
