(WAND) - The FBI has warned American law enforcement about possible armed protests at all 50 state Capitols.
The protests could happen beginning Jan. 16, the memo said. A senior law enforcement official told NBC News an armed group threatened to go to Washington, D.C. on that day and stage an uprising if President Donald Trump is removed from office by Congress.
The official said the memo featured information provided by the ATF, DEA, Defense Department, Park Police and the U.S. Marshals, along with other agencies. Sources of information included social media, open source and other avenues.

The FBI has sent a memo to law enforcement agencies across the country warning of possible armed protests at all 50 state capitol buildings starting Jan. 16, and also says an armed group has threatened to travel to Washington, D.C. the same day and stage an uprising if Congress removes President Donald Trump from office, according to a senior law enforcement official.

A psychological operations officer who the Army is investigating for leading a group of people from North Carolina to the rally in Washington that led up to the deadly riot in the U.S. Capitol had already resigned her commission, CBS News correspondent David Martin reports. Commanders at Fort Bragg said they were reviewing Captain Emily Rainey’s involvement in last week’s events in the nation’s capital, but she said she acted within military regulations and that no one in her group broke the law.
“I was a private citizen and doing everything right and within my rights,” Rainey told The Associated Press on Sunday...
Rainey, 30, is assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group at Fort Bragg, according to Maj. Daniel Lessard, a spokesman for 1st Special Forces Command. Known as PSYOPS, the group uses information and misinformation to shape the emotions, decision-making and actions of American adversaries.

Might have been the same professional grievance huckster they had on CBS Sunday Morning (Flow or Blow, it’s irrelevant). He claimed all the irate patriots who went to DC were about white supremacy and nothing else. Stopped just short of claiming they were Klan without the Lindell sheets. The President can’t get airtime but that assclown got five free minutes to lie AND peddle a book.
BTW, I see many advising to totally stay away from the trap. If no one’s within seeing-recording distance FBI/AntiFa could stage whatever fiction they want and the Pressoganda would televise and publish it unchallenged. There should be observers dressed plainly keeping to the periphery as if they were any average rubbernecking citizens.
