Human nature and history seems to say that there won’t be a civil upheaval with our societal conditions. We did things the Romans could only dream of with our modern version of bread and circuses, such as actually making the poorest people the most likely to be obese. We are also the most passively entertained and the least used to strenuous labor outdoors in all weather of any people ever. Hard to imagine any prior civil upheaval happening with our current societal conditions.
