These conditions are extremely new also, to the point they sound like a sci-fi dystopian story when you list them. So maybe civil unrest just hasn’t happened yet in one of the few places were these conditions exist. But given my own understanding of human nature, I doubt we have seen a fraction of what will be potentially tolerated when so many are unused to privation and physical hardship as well as being so entertained and spiritually deficient.
