Not going to be any civil war in the form of a conflict. That just isn’t ever going to happen in a complex and wealthy country like ours. Americans are simply too comfortable and have too much to lose to engage in armed conflict with one another.

But we do have persistent and deep divisions that are irreconcilable. One side want freedom, liberty and order while the other is committed to control, power and suppression. There is no bridging that kind of ideological chasm. On top of that we are a tribal country with increasing differences over morality, the role of government and the need for law and order.

Rather than open conflict we may see some form of separation occur. The Left has their sanctuary cities and states. We can do the same thing. After all, it is THEY who set the precedent for it.

Human nature and history seems to say that there won’t be a civil upheaval with our societal conditions. We did things the Romans could only dream of with our modern version of bread and circuses, such as actually making the poorest people the most likely to be obese. We are also the most passively entertained and the least used to strenuous labor outdoors in all weather of any people ever. Hard to imagine any prior civil upheaval happening with our current societal conditions.
