There will be a massive abandonment of the GOP and it will happen swiftly. It will stun the party establishment when their own office holders bolt for the new one.
Allowing the GOP to infiltrate a new party poses a disaster similar to ex-patriated Californios bringing their politics and ideas into Texas.
