Can I buy a < P > paragraph ?
Very true and today it is a techno-totalitarianism.
I am sorry, it looked better on the Word Doc I typed it on. I haven’t posted here in years...I will redo...
“...Strategic considerations for winning ...”
-
Winning what?
“Winning what?”
restoring America of course. What would you think?
Can I buy a < P > paragraph ?
And the grammar police raises its ugly head.
I have reposted above with paragraphs in...evidently have to give extra line on Word Docs for paragraphs to show. Admin, please remove this posting
Civil disobedience can be a viable strategy but we aren’t going to have a sympathetic press fawning over us, we’ll be vilified at every turn and they’ll turn a blind eye to the government treating us ruthlessly. Still, it’s something to try that might avoid a civil war and at least more likely to succeed than just “wait until the next election and we’ll win even though they’re going to cheat again”.
Don’t count on a majority of the military siding with tyranny.
DC Cops will. Federal agents might. But not the military. There are 50 states. So if push comes to shove, 50 states will become 50 independent nations. Just like the former Soviet Union.
I agree with your sentiments here, however it depends on the goal. If we just wish to survive, then peaceful civil disobedience will suffice. However, if we wish to restore a true Republic from the Government Class dictatorship that has now centralized its authority and rule, then our next leader will need to be at the head of an army, not a candidate for political office.
However, I don’t necessarily agree that Christ views peaceful obedience more “Godly” than armed resistance. I don’t believe the Founders were outside God’s will by fighting a “hot” revolution. And while Jesus did say “give unto Caesar...” he also said he was coming “with a sword...”. Our objectives and our means should govern our strategy.
Bartering, under table transactions will increase and other subversive acts. Doing biz only with like minded where possible. Changing purchasing habits. I feel sorry for young kids...altho this may create more conservatives
Bartering, working together with like minded Americans, personal acts of defiance against the Federal beast, YES! We can do a lot more than we realize.

Very thoughtful response, thank you. I disagree with your assertion that to restore America we must have an army and use violence. We have several cases in history that prove that non violent civil disobedience can overthrow even the most authoritarian government, such as happened in Poland and Czechoslovakia, etc in the old Soviet Union. It took a few years but really not any longer than a war would have probably taken and many lives were saved and much brutality spared.

I don’t necessarily disagree outright with your assertion here however, it is how the war is fought. Lincoln said it best “with malice towards none”. But, in all wars we have excesses such as brutality beyond necessity, killing innocents intentionally. The key is if it brings on hatred, we can reasonably assume we are being tempted by Satan. That is far too easy in a hot war. However, having said that I do agree wholeheartedly with the “just war” concept. But, people are led away from our Lord during war by actions of hatred. A peaceful civil disobedience can wrap our hearts in God’s grace easily...and attract others to join us.

It was estimated that the black market economy was near as large as the “official” economy in the former Soviet Union. You are absolutely correct that under the table and black markets are great peaceful resistance ideas that also allows people the opportunities of free markets...albeit higher risk than normal hence higher prices than truly free market economies. But still, cheaper than the intentionally rationed products and services allowed in an authoritarian economy.
The main difficulty is that our ruling oligarchy will not relinquish control due to popular will. They’ve made that abundantly clear. They’ve also made abundantly clear that they are willing to use mercenaries - paid employees or Antifa/BLM irregulars to commit acts of extreme violence against us.
That action, continuing and increasing in order to exert greater control, will lead to a response in kind, regardless of any intentions we might have. We may not start with a hot war, we don’t have the means to prosecute one now anyway against the overwhelming power of the government, but at some point that may change as atrocities increase.
“ Some have suggested a violent overthrow. However, there are several problems with that. First and foremost the cost in human life will be great. Hundreds of thousands if not millions will perish.”

Perish on your feet fighting, or on your knees in a gulag or on the edge of a pit in some forest. I‘ll choose Door #1. Enough of my family died without fighting back in the 1940s - that shit is NOT happening to me. These phuckers want to impose a Communist dictatorship, they will not do so for free.

Then make the press fear you. How is your decision.

That is something to consider of course, it is solid thinking. However, we can research perhaps and find how Lech Walensa and Ghandi handled that. They all had similar problems I am certain. It is the will of the people willing to hurt the ability for the government to function by not acting within the economy that brought those governments down. That and God’s will.
