So, if a government violates constitutional provisions do citizens owe it (and its officials) any loyalty at all?
So far as I can tell USConst provisions regarding elector objections were ignored. Per requirements, Reps and Senators formally objected. Per requirements both houses were required to break apart and debate the issues – then return to joint debate. Those provisions were never completed. And, since they weren’t, Pence might well be justified in saying he cannot set aside the elector votes. “Might”.
Had a hurricane gamboled thru Virginia both houses would have scampered for shelter. As well they should. They would then resume where they left off.
Not this congress.
Amidst extensive citizen protests (mostly peaceful, I might add – currying CNN favor here) apparently some QANON twits stormed the capital steps. I suspect QANON since the much-pictured, bare-chested jackalope has been seen in other fotos carrying a QANON sign opposite Antifa riots sorry: “mostly peaceful protests”. I don’t blame the residents for evacuating. I would, too.
But, instead of resuming their offices they rushed thru a rubber stamp on Beijing Biden’s steal. No debate.
This violates the USConst.
I cannot support this government, nor its members (especially bureaucrats) at any level, for any purpose.
This Republic has died. The rule of law is no more – just look at how government reps ignore laws.
The rights recognized by the US Const are not given/permitted by government. They are intrinsic to being born a citizen. Any government thinking otherwise is an enemy of humanity.
this is not my government. any official who does not obey constitution and is fraudulently elected is a dictator.
Anyone who ‘won’ without the legal Constitutional process isn’t technically in office, and anything they enact is inherently null and void. And THAT’S even presuming they actually bother to ‘pass’ anything that would be Constitutional if they DID actually hold those offices, which isn’t likely.
The government is based on a social contract. Consent of the governed is dependent on the government upholding their end of that contract. They have defaulted on those obligations, so the contract is void and consent can freely be revoked.
Yep, the republic is gone. Our great experiment was nice while it lasted.
Pontius Pence
No loyalty owed. Contract is broken, there is no contract.
What kind of Christian is Pence?
When Bill Clinton won, I opposed him and what he stood for, but I accepted the results and never said “Bill Clinton is not my President.”
When Barack Obama won, I opposed him and what he stood for, but I accepted the results and never said “Barack Obama is not my President.”
Joe Biden is not my President.

They did that, but it was a sham debate, and the occupation of the Capitol destroyed that effort completely. Though Pence had already promised that he would count and accept the electors submitted. But the debates focused more on the occupation than they did the objection. I should say that the House had debates on both objections of state electors. The Senate only did 1 debate on, I believe it was Pennsylvania.

That’s what I said, and why I said the occupation destroyed everything last night.
SPOOKY - Auto correct is prescient
What I intended to say is that your answer can be found in the Declaration of Independence
Actually that was Q himself!
The big reveal is upon us!
Bow down, you normies!
Behold the classic winnowing of the tares.
Migawd it’s like.... Biblical.
Gotta brush up on my OT - something about sending the worthless soldiers home.
Worked out perfectly for the deep state.
I owe the deep state parasites nothing.
Loyalty to what? The constitution is dead. Now the judges and bureaucrats are in charge with fake elections to saite the sheep. The only loyalty are to family and friends now.
