My political journey began in Spring 1975. Just ten years old, I’d watched with mounting horror as the Communist forces of North Vietnam conquered the South. Meanwhile our vindictive, post-Watergate Congress refused further aid. On April 30, the invaders overran Saigon. I will never forget the spectacle of US helicopters pulling out of our embassy. Or the rooftops crowded with desperate American allies clutching at the landing gear. In subsequent months, the “Boat People” fleeing Communist cruelty started washing up on our shores. I couldn’t shake my sense of helpless, directionless shame. I felt our country had profoundly dishonored itself.
And Winter 2020 has brought me back to that same place. Washington, D.C., this dark Epiphany Day brought me right back to Saigon. I’ll explain, but first a few necessary reflections on the violence.
We don’t know yet if the instigators of the violence at the US Capitol were rogue Trump supporters unhinged by the theft of our democracy. Or Antifa members in costume. Or maybe a blend of both, with gullible overwrought patriots following a false flag waved by canny infiltrators. The pro-Communist riots in West Germany, 1967-8, were started by a police shooting of a demonstrator. That cop later turned out to be an East German Stasi spy sent to stir up trouble. Put nothing past the radical Left. Nothing.
What’s more, if leftists are culprits, we will likely never find out. Even if proof emerges, the same networks that wouldn’t report on Hunter Biden’s laptop won’t report...

Good analogy. It was Democrats who sold them down the river but were they worth fighting for?
So true, alas we are South Vietnam now, awaiting a formal capitulation to communism.
We have our own “Ameri-Cong”, and they’ve ended democracy as we know it; just as in South Vietnam, funded by ChiComs with Western puppets (political, entertainment, even the street riff-raff).
Excellent article!
I’ve been telling people we’ve become Jugoslavia under Marshall Tito, but this is an excellent analogy!
AC.
That is a very apt way of putting it. Let’s hope it remains a Vietnam analogy and not a Cambodian one. Time will tell whether we are under the regime of Ho Chi Minh or Pol Pot, however. Killing fields? Reeducation camps?
“Or maybe a blend of both, with gullible overwrought patriots following a false flag waved by canny infiltrators.”
I think the author hits the nail on the head with this statement.

Right; let’s make it a thing.
An excellent article and good looking site.

Yesterday’s agressive demonstration is not an anomaly. There is a rage among the people. Decent people realize that an election and power was stolen by globilist elites. As the article states, those that they expected to ensure fair elections and preserve the constitution and liberties of the American people colluded with the vile.
An illegitimate regime is about to take power. Its figurehead is a demented corrupt man who used his own diseased, addicted son as his bagman. It will never be recognized by decent, patriotic outraged Americans. How that resistence is made manifest when those decent people have lost faith in the elective process will soon become apparent.
IIRC, the Mossaddegh regime in Iran was brought down by a combined CIA-MI5 operation running on a shoestring. There was already a lot of discontent among the populace due to his bungling of the economy among other things. All that the spooks needed to do was pay a few thousand dollars to a small knot of professional troublemakers to start up a protest march walking to Tehran with anti-Mossaddegh signs and chants. This little nucleus snowballed into an avalanche as they approached the capital. All it took was a few paid rabble-rousers, combined with an existing undercurrent of discontent among most citizens, to bring down a regime. And at the cost of just a few thousand bucks. Talk about "ROI" - eh?
The actual theft of the election is one part of a much larger problem; we basically have ChiCom/Pravda misinformation spewed by enemedia collaborators 24/7/365, and it went on for years. So many people are either uninformed or completely Misinformed; there are few outlets for genuine truth.
Early in 2020 nj.com (the website for NJ’s largest newspaper, the Star-Ledger) shut off its comments; they understood from the 2016 election that those comments were providing the truth to correct there nonsensical spin on stories. They’ve been begging fro subscriptions ever since; now they realize that pandering to a group of semi-literate libs isn’t a strategy for business success.
Yahoo has done the same thing. Once believed that the truth could not be suppressed in America. Yet after witnessing how the MSM colluded successfully to prevent most Americans from learning about the Hunter harddrive, patriots have a tough task ahead of them.
The Hunter story was just one of many; any good wrought by Trump was either buried or spun.
On Yahoo I used to read the headline and skip straight to the comments. The articles were predictable and worthless. Anything to make our country or President Trump look bad. The truth was in the comments, so Yahoo shut them down.
