Children’s show “Caillou” is officially dead. And parents are dancing on the “little brat’s” grave.
“We’re saying farewell to @cailloudhx,” PBS Kids announced in a tweet along with tips “for what to do when your child’s favorite media goes away.”
But it seems the bald cartoon character was the least-favorite animated star among moms and dads everywhere, who have been celebrating online since the news of the show’s cancellation broke. “Caillou’s reign of terror is over!!” wrote one relieved viewer on Twitter, while other Caillou-skeptics’ complaints have included that the tot is a bootleg Charlie Brown, called him a “little brat” and “evil.”

PBS probably doesn’t think parents should tell children what to.watch.
There is NO NEED TO COMPLAIN about this show.
Be a parent and say “You can’t watch this, it’s not good.”
No discussion in my family. Parents are in charge.
I have no sympathy for people who fail to control their children on things like this.
And I thought Barney was bad.
Curious George is much better.
Caillou was the first whining, safe space, soy guzzling millennial. I hated that show.
The kids whose parents who fail to control them, will be the kids your kids will have to deal with. And your kids might well be outnumbered
Well, my kids are grown now, and they know how to take care of themselves. And they will teach my grandchildren.
Outnumbered? OK. But never outsmarted.
It hadn’t been cancelled earlier? Even my daughter hated that show when she was little.
We actually had some of the DVDs in order to expose our kids to the French in the original. Lame, but not as bad as post-Arthur-homo-pushing stuff. The dad and the mom were pretty much interchangeable. (Both wimps.)
But then they end up to be militant little assholes who come to kill you.
Arthur was the worst, I forbade that show from my house when my kids were little.
That and “The Rainbow Fish”, sneaky way to indoctrinate kids to love Socialism.
watched it a few times with my son and we called it Lieou cause all he ever did was lie.
If only there were a solution that prevented one’s young child from seeing a TV show...
The kid and his parents are Canadian. What do people expect?
Yes, my daughter banned this for her oldest years ago. She was actually the first one I heard about this nonsense from. And she’s not some super strict TV mom in any way, but she felt it was just dreadful and mal-affecting her son’s attitude. She’ll be thrilled to hear it’s gone.
Second piece of good news I’ve had today, thanks for posting!
The grown up one are called democrats.
No - that’s the whole point. Kids hunger for knowing where the boundaries are. If you show them, lovingly, and refuse to budge, they respect you for it. It takes love, discipline, and prayer.
If a parent raises them without God, your scenario could come true.
Yep. I’ve often said that liberals are just 3rd graders who got older.
The Antifa thugs of today 10 years ago were the little brats screaming their heads off in the aisle of a Walmart because their mothers didn’t buy them what they demanded.
