Ketchup on eggs can be a subject of intense debate. Is this a combination you grew up with, or is the idea completely foreign to you? Based off of casual conversation here at The Takeout, it’s clear that for every enthusiast, there’s a hater who despise the very idea of Heinz on the breakfast table. And as a condiment, people have very strong feelings about ketchup more generally, like whether or not it belongs on hot dogs or, as we’ve discussed amongst ourselves previously, on burgers. So what do you think? Does ketchup belong on eggs?

Honestly I was kidding in the last line. I use catsup sometimes, but I like to mix things up. I will use salsa one day, hot sauce on another and catsup on others. Most often I just use a little steak seasoning and call it good.
I just with we could agree on how to spell it. This is ‘Merica. We tend to take the unnecessary letters out of words, not put them in.
Where will the madness end? Ketchup on eggs...how about mustard on egg sandwiches? Maybe some Ranch dressing for the pizza, fried okra, hush puppies, and sweet potato fries? LOL As for Sriracha, I don’t want to get it in my eyes again.

Now that I think about it, if I dip chicken nuggets in barbecue sauce, why not put barbecue sauce on eggs?
No ketchup. Frank’s hot sauce instead. Plus ground black pepper.
The exception to this rule is a hamburger, which is eaten by hand and the wrong shape for dipping.
Ketchup on a hotdog is a blasphemy.

Definitely like it on scrambled eggs, preferably mixed with Red Hot or Crystal. (NEVER Tabasco) The Jalapeno ketchup is good, too. But scrambled eggs and fries, plus an ingredient in seafood cocktail sauce, and NOTHING else. No meat of any kind.

Any condiment belongs on whatever food you prefer. Its simply a matter of taste.
The real question is; as conservative, does Heinz foods belong in you pantry?

I used to work with an engineer who put ketchup on EVERYTHING.
Once, I asked him if he put ketchup on ice cream. He repled,
“If it needs it”!
If you feel like raw clams on the half-shell but none are around....
Go for the ketchup on eggs.....close your eye and you’ll never know the difference.
Why not? Mr Trump likes it on WELL DONE steak.
My father could not abide the stuff since it contains onions, but also liked well done steak.
