Remember, Georgia allows early processing ( but no counting ) of absentee ballots 15 days before the election.
It's my understanding, they tweaked it again allowing early processing of absentee ballots and making it mandatory to start processing them on 12/30/2020.
Here is what all counties are allowed to do:
They’re permitted to verify, open, separate and scan absentee ballots.
- verifying signatures on the outer envelope, opening the envelopes, and scanning the ballots — before Election Day.
- Scanned votes will be stored in the memory of optical scanning computers, the same as votes cast in person during early voting.
Keeping this in mind, they could conceivably(but not probably - too many ballots) have a result by end of day 01/05/2021
Georgia has 159 counties. The process is supposed to be open to the public. Did\do repubs have any poll watchers on hand anywhere ?
How many shenanigans have already gone on with any of this?

It’s unbelievable to me.
IMO, the only thing they should be allowed to do is count the number of envelopes that arrive, so that everyone knows how many mail in ballots have been received. They should check them in to the log books, but envelopes should not be opened unless representatives from both parties are present.
While the ballots are inside the envelopes, you can tell certain things, even if you can’t tell who the voter voted for. If you have an ineligible or questionable voter, it’s easy enough to exclude the envelope and the ballot.
But once the ballots are separated from the envelopes, it becomes very difficult, if not impossible, to tell which ballots go with with envelopes.
Georgia’s looking at another election mess, if you ask me.
