My cancer doc (who I trusted to cut me open) said to get the vax.
What would you expect in a state run by a bunch of mediocre people (aka democrats) who think they are REALLY somethin’? I live in Idaho and we are administering it as soon as it is delivered. I got my first dose on 12/22 and will get dose #2 on 01/12. I had zero side effects. I’m 69 and work in the medical field and am looking forward to achieving FULL IMMUNITY.
It’s not only about surviving it.. a lot of people go through hell with COVID after becoming infected. So yes, count me among those who will take the vaccine. Knowing what my brother and sister-in-law underwent a few days ago, I intend to do what I can to avoid it.

Lots of folks in Florida where they’re giving it to the seniors on a PRIORITY basis. Have Moderna ship more vaccine there...MUCH MORE. And also to the other red states who are expeditiously giving vaccinations.

In the land of equity and diversity, no matter who gets the vaccine somebody will get offended, and there will be charges of racism, misogyny and hate crimes. It’s as certain as the turning of the earth.

I'm not clear on why oncologists and/or surgeons have special expertise in the area of vaccine technology.
Also, which vaccine was specified? Vaccines approved or in later testing phases include radically different technology types and different safety histories. Oh, he didn't bother to tell you or doesn't know?
NOTHING I have read says full immunity.
It only says that IF you get the virus, you will have less severe symptoms.

Because oncologists deal with immunocompromised individuals all the time. I am not clear why you think your opinion is of equal expertise.

Pfizer 2-dose.
He had the COVID himself back in the spring and has studied it a lot. He’s had several patients die from COVID. Supposedly radiation therapy (which I had as a follow-on to surgery) suppresses your immune system and makes you more vulnerable.
I can fix automatic transmissions but this guy knows way more biology than I can ever learn in my few years remaining on earth.
I’m actually glad so few FReepers and minorities want the vax, I hope it moves me up in line.
