Shifting Goalposts – COVID Deaths versus Vaccine Deaths
American Thinker ^ | 4 Jan, 2021 | Brian C.Joondeph, MD

The media and medical establishment now defining deaths far differently in order to push their agenda of COVID bad, vaccine good.

Imagine changing the rules in the middle of a football game. The halftime score is 14-12, the Raiders scoring two touchdowns while the Broncos kicked four field goals. In the second half the rules change with field goals worth seven points and touchdowns only three points. Suddenly the Broncos are ahead 28-6. Absurd isn’t it?

That’s what is happening with the reporting of COVID deaths versus vaccine deaths, the media and medical establishment now defining deaths far differently in order to push their agenda of COVID bad, vaccine good.

COVID deaths don’t distinguish between death with COVID versus death from COVID. Early in the pandemic, Dr Deborah Birx said as much:

SNIP

Preexisting conditions are certainly important and death is often multifactorial.

SNIP

Is it the same for the vaccines or have the rules now changed?

An Israeli man suffered a fatal heart attack hours after receiving the COVID vaccine. The media was quick to disavow any linkage between the two events. From the Jerusalem Post, “Man's fatal heart attack likely unlinked to vaccine he took 2 hours before.”

The Times of Israel says much the same,

88-year-old dies hours after vaccine; doctors stress he was seriously ill. Hospital says deceased, who collapsed at home, had a long history of health ailments.

SNIP

A Swiss man also died after receiving the COVID vaccine and again the media was quick to deny any causation.

What the news does not say. They would not say this: "A Portland man died from burns suffered when he tried to throw an incendiary device at police. He was found to have COVID-19 at the time, but his death was unrelated."

This is something to watch for.

This whole death from Covid be death with CoVId is a false flag. Anyone who has treated this disease can clearly tell you that the vast majority of deaths are from Covid. It’s like every death certificate I fill out. Cardiac arrest is the final cause of death. But how you got there is what’s important. Cardiac arrest secondary to acute hypoxemiic respiratory failure as caused by Covid does not mean that a patient died with CoVId. They died from it.

Yes there are idiot reports out there. A motorcycle crease with trauma is not a Covid death. I am aware of the scattered case reports of lunacy. However the vast majority of deaths reported trying to say with instead of because Covid is simply a distinction without difference.

From Mississippi...

https://msdh.ms.gov/msdhsite/_static/14,22075,420,694.html

“If a Coroner suspects COVID-19 is the cause of death, should COVID-19 be listed as the cause of death without laboratory test confirmation?

Yes, if COVID-19 is probable or suspected, list “Probable COVID-19” or “Suspected COVID-19” in Part I.”

Looks like more lunacy.

Have you taken the vaccine? I am curious about your opinion of it.

As regards the efficacity of the recently introduced vaccines:

The attempt is on that we are supposed to feel screwed either way, whether from the effects of COVID-19 Wuhan virus, or from the effects of the vaccine that is supposed to protect us from that virus.

Trump’s fault.

Yeah, right. This was a gut punch that was delivered to the whole world, and different countries responded in different ways. Most with lockdown, a few with bold turn upon the encroaching plague, and some were seemingly little affected at all, what has been the death rate from COVID-19 Wuhan virus in equatorial Africa? Where hydroxychloroquine was wide available and used by virtually all the population, the infection rate was very small, and the deaths from COVIDE-19 Wuhan virus were far less than many other endemic diseases already in circulation.

ONE man, virtually alone, seized the challenge in this country and introduced a concept he called “warp speed”, first introducing rapidly mobilized manufacture of ventilators for treatment of the most severe cases of the virus, then with introduction of a number of apparently very effective treatment protocols well supported by the empirical results, the hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and zinc combination, remdesivir. and the serum antibody extraction from recovered virus patients.

Then the really rapid development, testing, production and distribution of a highly effective vaccine provided a really bright light at the end of the tunnel. Well, all except the distribution part, which is becoming the choke point where the rabid anti-Trumpers and those who wish to continue the lockdown for political purposes of their own have chosen to deliver a holding action.

The lockdown and other draconian economy-destroying measures could be stopped today, with virtually no change in the spread, hospitalization or death rates from the virus itself, and the disease would be flat-lined within a few more weeks, but there is a dedicated faction out there that wants to keep the crisis going, indefinitely if possible, but for a prolonged period until that faction has consolidated power.

I am greatly disappointed in the judgment of these few.

I don’t even care about this aspect any more.

When I hear anything about new COVID cases, deaths due to COVID, or re-infections of people with COVID, I think of Elon Musk, one of the wealthiest men on Earth, having four tests by the same person, same machine, on the same day, and two come back positive, and two come back negative, and that is all I need to know.

All the rest of it is simply stupid. When your country is completely destroying itself based on the results of a test that is apparently no better than flipping a coin, then you have lost.

That cartoon nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Not because it is funny, even though it is.

But because it is true.

I hope you do well. I am leery of getting mRNA vaccines until there is some longer term data on side effects. I also want to see if COVID-19 will mutate like flu virus and make old vaccinations ineffective.

The way the shutdowns and mask mandates seem to be done for political power make me reluctant to trust anything the FDA or CDC says.

I will be getting the vaccine as well, as required by my work.

I have been getting mandatory shots for decades, and this one is no different for me.

However, I don’t see a vaccine having any effect on lockdowns or mask wearing. Immunity isn’t the point, as the cartoon above shows.

If I get a shot, they will still make me wear a mask, and I still won’t be able to go to a store that requires masks if I don’t have one, and I will still get filthy looks if I am outdoors without a mask.

But working in healthcare, if I keep one patient, even ONE out of 100K from catching something who comes in to have a medical issue addressed, then I am fine with that.

It is a different standard if you work with patients, that I am willing to adhere to.

People come in to get healed, not catch things from me or my co-workers.

I’m happy for you. My husband has had his first dose. No side effects.

Looking forward to eventually getting mine. I’ll be in last group since I’m healthy and not in a risky job.

The vaccine may or may not give people immunity, but the people who find this useful aren’t going to surrender that simply because everyone gets a vaccine. I think they find it very useful, as the cartoon above illustrates.

My brother had liver disease. For two years he had been in last stage of the disease. For the past year his limbs were becoming useless. His body was covered with bleeding sores where his skin was stuffing off. He could only get out of bed for a few minutes a day. In the past 6 months he had developed dementia. He was in a full care nursing home and his regular COVID tests negative. Then the first week of November he had a positive COVID test though nothing had changed about his symptoms. The home sent him over to the hospital (a big well known hospital in Birmingham, AL) Covid ICU. That day the nurse there told me that his organs were Shutting down and the next day he passed away. His death certificate states “cause of death - multiple organ failure” , “caused by Covid 19” and no where does it mention the liver disease, though we had been told by the doctor for months that the liver disease would cause his organs to shut down.

Was this just a rare incident, or was it the policy of the hospital?

I understand your point. But, the shutdowns are bankrupting people and destroying lives. Something government workers will never understand. They should be losing everything and not be able to afford to eat too.

The only person to die with COVID where COVID was not stated as the cause is George Floyd.
