Good. He needs a pardon, not another prosecution in the US.

And whatever he did, he’s already effectively served a sentence while being confined to the Ecuadorian embassy.

Agreed Manning was the criminal. Assange was reporting

This judge sounds like Jim Comey. Here are all the reasons pointing to guilt, “BUT NO REASONABLE PROCECUTOR”. . .

Wonder if the decision has anything to do with Spygate...?

The judge citing health reasons like autism and mental health.

She actually said that the US would be unable to prevent Assange from committing suicide in prison.

Did she consult Jeffrey Epstein on that one?...sarc

Yes outo.

I was following it live on twitter and it did not seem like it was going well.... looked a formality.

Then she came out with that dramatic twist and denied on health grounds.

I’m happy for Julian though for now he remains in custody.

But that reasoning is pretty lame. Can’t get extradited because of his mental health? Every person in jail will want out now. Due to their mental health.

Fortunately, Trump can pardon him and bring him here.

The judge would have had psychiatric reports etc. from medical professionals citing suicide risk, autism and depression.

I guess this weighed heavy in her decision

Did someone make a case against extradition? Because whoever did would have obtained those reports.

Thing is, what if the plan was to get him here FIRST and then pardon him after getting a bit of information? I don’t feel like he’s safer in the UK, their laws against journalists are positively draconian. Look how they treated Tommy Robinson.

Assange isn’t safer. Which is why the UK is still holding him.

Wonder what Assange knows about Spygate...

Yes of course. She seemed to accept most of the Crowns case (representing the US govt) and that he would get a fair trial in Virginia..

But dramatically then accepted the defense case regarding his health.

In the original hearing a few months back I believe they had doctors testify that he was at risk especially if sent to a Superomax prison and kept in isolation.

Judge: “Faced with the conditions of near total isolation without the protective factors which limited his risk at HMP Belmarsh, I am satisfied the procedures described by the US will not prevent Mr Assange from finding a way to commit suicide and for this reason I have decided extradition would be oppressive by reason of mental harm and I order his discharge.”

Bail application to be made on Wednesday. Hope he makes it.

Executed.

He was a traitor and did his document dump because he’s a radical homofascist who was upset over Clinton’s don’t ask don’t tell policy.

He was no whistleblower. He pilfered documents because that was his agenda.
