Getting a little ahead of ourselves here. They don’t have the votes to force a 10 day audit. mcconnel, romney and toomey have all stated unequivocally they do not support this. So there is no majority support in the house or the senate. Will be interesting to see how big the crowd is in DC and how they react. Wish I could be there.
You are likely correct, but it is a fluid, yet to be determined circumstance. It may depend on the size of the crowd that shows up Jan 6 and whether Congress believes it has the procedural authority of either recessing or continuing the Joint Session.
If Sidney Powell and Trump's inner team has the evidence and has made it available to Congress prior to the JS in an easy to read footnoted format (one page executive summary) it should not take a very lengthy session. (Six or less disputed key states x two hours each, if that long.)
