The steps leading to a contingency election in the House and Senate show us that the Founders DID “game out” a scenario in which the electoral votes would be nullified.
The votes, being anonymous, are not discernable as to valid or invalid on an individual basis.
The entire election MUST be found fraudulent on the basis of even a single invalid vote.
That single fraudulent ballot, when counted, causes the entire election to be nullified.
That false vote is what disenfranchises the legitimate voters, NOT the effort to find fraud or the decision of a court.
