This is certainly correct. But use of the military in a situation like this is a shocking idea to most people. It hasn’t happened in living memory. We are supposed to have a system that solves such things without need for domestic military force.
Unfortunately, we have people who have pushed us to this point for that very reason. They know they can’t win at the ballot box, so they have decided to simply take over the country.
And so far, they aren’t being stopped, because the idea of having to actually fight does not compute. Normalcy bias. I have a friend who is right there. “It’s just politics, we’ll be fine.”

I think it pays to remember that only a rather small percentage of American really participated in the American Revolution. Likewise today, most people would do precisely nothing if the US military sprang into action to keep Harris out of the White House. Most people would just wait for the trouble to blow over.
We have about 80 million Trump supporters, and plenty of them are very capable people.
Joe Biden? Maybe he has 60 million supporters. Probably less. And almost none of them are capable. The black masked ANTIFA street fighters are about as good as they have.
This may get ugly. But it won’t be close.
