Has anybody here been watching the series Yellowstone on the Peacock channel?
What goes on between the Dutton family who are trying to keep their land, the Indian tribal chief trying to take over the land in order to build casinos and developers wanting the land in order to build an airport as a precursor to a ski resort and ultimately a city.
This is reminiscent of Mafia family wars with just as much violence.....
I’ve watched them all. Really well done and on beautiful locations.
Best to binge watch.
Yup. Season four sometime this year.
I watch it on the Paramount Channel (cable). Good series.
I did think this last season seemed padded and didn’t really go anywhere, compared to previous seasons. However, the next season should be good, if the previews are any indicator.
We’re hooked on it.
The next season should be quite interesting.
Yes, we love the scenary and watched every episode. Waiting for next season.
Another binge show is LONGMIRE on Netflix if you have it. Sorta like Justified meets Yellowstone and Dances With Wolves. It's placed in Wyoming. Warning if you're an animal activist, your head will explode with all the deer/elk heads and skins on the walls. Lots of gun fights, power faction intrique, and sub-plots. The Sheriff is a calm likable badass like the Marshall in Justified.
When does the new season start?
IIRC, although Longmire is ‘set’ in Wyoming, it was actually filmed in New Mexico.
Good series. I did think the finale was a bit stretched.
Love it! It’s great branded marketing for Ram trucks - especially as to what they can do to a row of parked Harleys.
Thanks. Here’s what I found as far as locations:
The series was primarily shot in New Mexico, spanning locations like Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Eagle Nest, and Red River. Multiple seasons of the show shot interior scenes at Garson Studios at Santa Fe’s University of Art and Design. For the third season of the show, a majority of the exterior scenes were shot in nearby locations in Santa Fe.
Beautiful country up there. If you don’t mind altitude that is.
Loved Longmire.
Looked up film locations for Yellowstone after remembering seeing the Utah Film Commission mentioned in the credits. Most of the first 3 season were filmed in the Park City area with the ranch being near Darby Montana. Since they weren’t going to get enough tax credit/rebates/incentives for the new season the production moved to mostly Montana for season 4.
Watched first run on Paramount. I will watch anything with Kelly Reilly in it.
A Justified fan. I am about to binge second viewing. Fire in the hole !!!
Great Series!! How about the cowhand initiation? I think I would rather work at another ranch.
Yesterday’s season 3 finale absolutely blew me away (no pun intended).....Seems like every episode had one of those “OH CRAP!” moments in it......
Could be delayed filming issues due to the Covid.....
They're hoping in June
That was another one of those OH CRAP scenes.......LOL!
