They are abused children with issues. Advise just stay away
It’s a younger crowd, and there are some sharp elbows for poor reasons at times. Not worth worrying about, to me. It’s still a useful site.
Debating anonymous people on the internet again, eh?
Have you nothing better to do?
There is no cause anymore. The revolution will not be televised. Just be nice to your Chinese overlords and they will be nice to you./sarc
Ha, visit that site frequently and described to the wife the other day as a “mosh pit for Donald Trump”.
Why would they like any politician. They are all scum who stand for nothing
And that doesn't sound pervy in the least, no...
I know of several blogs and somewhat conservative websites that have been invaded and virtually ruined by posters just like that.
Suddenly, it is fashionable to have one person express an opinion, and have the following 22 posters waster their comments by beating up on this one person who expressed an opinion.
They will start off calling him a “Bot”, then a Troll, then someone trying to :”Gaslight” everyone. It becomes puerile and tiresome really quickly. I don’t care about beating up on some random poster, trying to get his mind right. I just want to talk about The Topic.
I have no wish to make dirty jokes about some poster’s Mother. Yes, this happens a lot these days. I don’t
participate in the ‘Dogpile’. I move on.
They were booted from Reddit and formed a standalone site.
They eat nails and drink bourbon for breakfast. Good people over there.
A lot of them were Bernie types and Libertarians...but they red-pilled. We need those people, as we in the older generations didn’t do crap to stop the Left when we had the chance.
The thedonald.win forum was created when Reddit signaled that they were getting ready to ban/destroy the /r/the_donald subreddit.
Reddit had been deliberately punishing the members of /r/the_donald through various means: deflating the actual number of members, downvoting or outright deleting posts, and even in the final days, hijacking it with reddit-friendly moderators which kicked out the original moderators. They prevented any content from reaching the global top feed, which reduced the number of people who would see it, quarantined the community, which made it invisible to those who didn’t already know it existed, and actually started temporarily banning users who even went to far as to like a post on /r/the_donald. It was only a matter of time before they got banned.
That subreddit traditionally is a lot more irreverent, and probably skews younger, but they have generated a lot of buzz and influence by being a tremendous source of memes and atypical social media influence that is fairly recent.
The big-tech left went after it, as they do so many others because it was effectively promoting Trump’s ideals and policies while slamming any who opposed him. It was influential and had to be destroyed.
I wouldn’t take it too personally. They tend to focus on shorter, more pithy, comments and memes compared to Free Republic. I see a lot more long form articles, analysis, and deeper discussion here. Not to say that thedonald.win isn’t entertaining and fun to read, but it helps to have a bit of that irreverent spirit when you are there.
There are some smart kids on that site. They were FAR AHEAD of the seasoned citizens after the election at waving the BS flags and backing it up with data.
I don’t go there often, but when it comes to data analysis they have some pretty big brains who parsed the data and showed how impossible this election was.
It’s not a place for discussion of conservative or libertarian issues. It is a place to post pro-Trump memes, pro-Trump conspiracy theories, and to shout into a pro-Trump echo chamber. I’m sure it’s mostly good people, but like most forums, the loudest and harshest voices set the tone and the herd follows. With the election turmoil, it’s worse.
I’m there all the time. They are definitely younger (20s & 30s) but they get news faster, it seems like, and they don’t waste time with old fossils like National Review. I usually start my day here and then go over there when I’m caught up here.
miserable leftist teachers in schools teaching doom and gloom indoctrination...
miserable leftist newscasters screaming doom and gloom on news broadcasts...
schools closed because of the scamdemic...
parents stuck at home because of the scamdemic...
there’s no relief in sight for some people...
there’s no hope in sight for some people...
and to top it all off we have certain states constantly moving the goalposts with timeframes on shutdowns...
it’s understandable why some people are miserable...
the question is;
how do we correct this?...
That’s a shame... I see thedonald as a great complement to FR... very different in terms of the audience and approach but we are all on the same team.
Dude - one of your FIRST POSTS is - “Will you vote for Rand Paul in 2024?!” and you got 204 upvotes
https://thedonald.win/p/11RNjy5SdM/would-you-vote-for-rand-paul-in-/c/
It’s a Donald Trump forum and you’ve still got the handshake icon by your name meaning you’re a newbie meaning you’re a potential troll/leading agent (There’s been plenty trying to get the site shut down) and to many over there the election isn’t DONE yet.
And then you come over here and whine because people pushed back?
I like it. Man, it’s refreshing to see the younger generation pick up the mantle of conservatism. May not be what we all agree on but they’ll figure out what works and grow into it. I’m just grateful they get it.
