+ Jesus, you endured the agony in the garden, the scourging at the pillar and the excruciation upon the Cross. +
+ You endured more than these pains, for you took on the immense weight of our sin and our death +
+ You did this all for our sake. Jesus. +
+ For the sake of your Sorrowful Passion, restore our lost innocence. Heal our poor mortality. +
+ And today we pray that you will heal and have mercy on my brother Thomas. +
+ If he has been estranged from you, forgive him. If he has not known you, may he know you now with great joy. +
+ We humbly pray that he be healed this evening. And if this cannot be, may he draw his next breath in the sweetness of Heaven. +
+ In your Holy name, Amen. +
