Not a chance, Pence doesn’t have the drive or personality, to cross the finish line. He’s just not that well liked.
You’ll see a rising star like DeSantis, Jordan, etc. take the lead.
Remember when Pence went to see Hamilton right after the election?
He received lots of jeers after the performance from the cast who taunted his party in the open. It caused awkward moments for his son but he explained that this is “freedom” to his son. It didnt rattle him but can piss off any normal American sitting there as I would tell the cast to F themselves and do the play again if that were done to me. This may mean something or nothing, but Pence will do what is best for him.
That and the additional Senators and Representatives who will question specific State electors as Fraudulent, and demand proof. Each challenge requires 2 hours of debate (with House and Senate removing to their Senate and House chambers for debate and vote). Article 12 takes over if their votes do not agree... on any one challenge. Throws this to the House— where Pelousi will be watched like a Hawk— she CANNOT screw with this process. Each State gets one vote (decided by their delegations, which States have more Republican dominated delegations than demonrats). Win.
And be well loaded and locked for the aftermath.

From reading the wiki article - the act effectively takes the count out of the VP’s hands and the governors of each state have final authority over which electors from the state qualify in the event of a tie and both houses of congress can override the VP if they have the votes.
You’d think he’d have learned after the RFRA debacle he single handedly caused.
If so, he can go back to Congress. However, if he files and it fails, he will be done regardless of what his alternative plans would have been.

This suit is as ill-conceived as the constent degree between Raffelsdouchberger and Abrams to rewrite the election laws of Georgia. Pence cannot accede to any private settlement that constrains controls or establishes his power to exercise the discretion granted him under the US constitution.

My comment above is in agreement. Moreover a court cannot intervene until he has exercised the discretion of his office or refused to do so.
Pence is Swamp. Half of his staff who have left have become never-Trumpers.

Both chambers would have to agree in order to uphold a challenge. If only one chamber votes in favor, the challenge is dismissed. Also, as several Republican Senators like Romney and others will very likely vote with the Democrats, it’s likely both chambers will vote nay on any challenge.

Who appoints the delegates? Are they the senior house leaders from each state or does each state legislature send a delegate?
