On Christmas Eve, Antifa activists rented sixteen motel rooms in the Travelodge in Fife, Washington. Christmas Day they refused to leave and refused to pay for the additional nights. The activists are now demanding that local government pick up the tab and turn the motel into a shelter.
Tacoma Housing Now (THN) paid for 16 rooms for one overnight stay on Dec. 24 at the Travelodge and then moved in more than 40 people. Rebecca Parson, spokesperson for THN and local socialist activist, told The Post Millennial that they targeted that specific location because "…it had the cheapest rates in the area for the first night that we intended to pay for."
Parson indicated that more research had been done on picking the location. In a pre-rehearsed speech she told all media outlets that the owner received $50,000 in PPP loans to help his struggling business.

Now they’ve got a hotel? Poor babies, they must have got cold camping outdoors. It will be trashed like everything else they’ve touched. Typical liberals. They’re miserable, so they have to make everyone else miserable too.
Shoot two, the rest of them will leave.
Chain the mayor to the front door and throw away the key.
The $50,000 in LOANS that the owner received because of the shutdown probably didn’t come anywhere near to covering his lost revenue, and does not justify people just moving in and refusing to leave. If “right-wingers” tried to pull a stunt like this, the police and FBI would be there within hours, and the occupiers would be arrested and charged with a laundry-list of crimes.

It would be national news, too.
I find it kind of ironic that in one Washington (State; Tacoma) Antifa / BLM Leftist Thugs have taken over a hotel and plan to keep it by force, and the local government / law enforcement have no intention of doing anything about it; And in the other Washington (D.C.) a hotel is closing down so as to not have to provide rooms for PAYING conservative guests, so as to not anger the Antifa / BLM / local government leftist thugs.
Or maybe ironic is not the correct word.
I don’t see any mention of it in the on-line version of The Seattle Times. They only have room for anti-Trump and pro-Biden stuff.
Why are the DEMOCRATS in Seattle putting up with this nonsense instead of putting an end to it?
and nooen in power sees this as a criminal act? How about if ordinary citizens just go and take over whatever hotels they want? Tell the owners “Too bad, we know you worked hard to build this business, but it’s no longer a crime for people to come and take over your business and claim it as their own, so get out!”
because the cowards are afraid of riots
Oh c’mon. This is just a bunch of high spirited kids. /sarc
Annnnd if the poverty defense holds up,grocery stores will be cleaned out and restaurants will be feeding everyone for free....Sounds like Seattle is about to become utopia...
(hmmm) 1985 MOVE bombing (hmmm)
(hmmm) 1993 Waco Siege (hmmm)
Just saying.
Charge them all under the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including the politicians who've aided and abetted them. Failure to charge them under RICO is just racist; prosecutors use the RICO act against black gangs but will not use it against white Communist criminals?
Turn off the water and electricity.
Bring in tall secure fencing, make every exit lead to a secure holding area, then gas the bastards and arrest them on federal charges as they come out.
Ventilate the gas from the building and collect all of their junk and burn it.
Turn off the water, cut the electricity, shoot some bear spray into the HAVC, and unplug the Wi-Fi. Those snowflakes would be gone in hours.
